Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar Pilgrimage Tour

 

Day 01: Arrive Lhasa
Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa in Tibet. Transfer to hotel in Lhasa. Afternoon rest and acclimatize. Overnight hotel.

Days 02 – 03:  Lhasa Sightseeing
Visit Potala Palace, Norbulinka, Drepung & Sera monasteries, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Gyangtse via Yamdrok Lake.
V isit the famous Gyantse Kumpum. Overnight at Gyantse.

Day 05: Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and Sakya Monastery
Driving to Shigatse to visit Tashilunpo Monastery, afternoon drive to Sakya, visit Sakya Monastery. Overnight in hotel.

Day 06: Drive from Lhatse to Saga.
Overnight in guest house.

Day 07: Driving from Saga to Paryang through the windswept territory passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with the distance view of snow capped mountains. . Overnight in guest house.

Day 08: Driving from Paryang to Lake Manasarovar through open territory with a view of distant mountains, Yak herders camp, if lucky enough you might come across a herd of Kang, you will have the first sight of Holy Kailash and Manasarovara. Overnight in guest house.

Day 09: Resting and sightseeing at Lake Manasarovar.
Overnight in guest house.

Day 10: Driving from Lake Manasarovar to Darchen, preparing for trekking.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Trekking from Darchen to Dira-puk Monastery.
The first day parikarama is a gradual walk with multitudes of other local pilgrims chanting and praying. The trail leads to a few ups and downs till we reach our camp at Dirapuk. Camping on the nice grassy meadows with a view of Kailash, north west face at Dirapuk.Overnight at halt.

Day 12: Trekking from Dira-puk Monastery to Zutul-puk Monastery by crossing Drolma-la Pass, 15km, takes about 6 - 7 hours . Today our parikarama leads to much higher side of the holy path just beneath the Mount Kailash. The walk will bring you to one of the highest point at Drolma La, 5,200 m. before descending to the gradual field towards Zuthulphuk for the overnight in camp.

Day 13: Trekking back to Darchen
The winding gradual tracks finally ends our holy pilgrimage 5 hours, Overnight at Darchen.

Day 14: Driving from Darchen to Paryang.
Overnight in guest house.

Day 15: Driving from Paryang to Saga.
Overnight in guest house

Day 16: Driving from Saga to Lhatse.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 17: Driving from Lhatse to Lhasa.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 18: Departure From Lhasa
Transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu.
