Helambu Trekking

Like the Kathmandu valley, Helambu as a trekking destination remains underrated and uncrowned. Helambu is the home of the Buddhist Bhotiyas, Tibetan descent Tamang and Sherpa's people, as well as number of Hindu people. Helambu offers a low altitude, distinctly enjoyable walk. In this trekking region a friendly and hospitable people with strong family and culture ties can be found. The trail takes you in a short time from intensely title valley terraces to the quiet pastures from where you have stunning views of the surrounding peaks such as magnificent view of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar etc. This trekking route can be reached by a short drive from Kathmandu and cam be trek winter season also.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1300m), and trek to Chisopani (2194m).
Day 03: Trek to Khutumsang (2446m)
Day 04: Trek to Tharepati (3597m).
Day 05: Trek to Tarke Gyang (2560m).
Day 06: Tarke Gyang to Shermathang (2621m)
Day 07: Explore local culture.
Day 08: Trek down to Melamchipul Baza (846m), and drive back to Kathmandu.
